A wallet gets sat on, bent open and pushed into a pocket every day, for years if it is made well. Kolkata's workshops make them in full-grain and top-grain cow leather and in goat leather. If you want vegetable-tanned hides, which darken as they are used, say so.
Cheap wallets fail in the same few places. Edge paint cracks, a lining peels, a card slot stretches until the cards slide out. So those points go into the written specification before a sample is cut: painted or burnished edges, the stitch count, the lining, and slots sized to the cards your market uses. The finished wallets are inspected against that sheet before they are packed.

What goes into a specification for a leather wallet?
The style (bifold, trifold or slim); the leather type, grain and colour; the lining; card slots, coin pocket and ID window; stitching colour and edge finish, painted or burnished; the logo method (blind emboss, foil or none); packing (gift box, pouch or bulk); quantity and destination. We add measurements and agree the whole sheet with you in writing before a sample is cut.
Can you make a small run of wallets with our logo?
Possibly. Each maker sets its own minimum by item, leather and colour, and we would rather start small than big. Tell us the item, the quantity per style and colour, and the country it ships to. We tell you the maker's minimum before any sample money is spent, so you can decide early whether the numbers work for you.
